Thank You

Big thank you to two lovely ladies...

First up, Leanne aka Mrs A in the Cove, for her blog post on Monday about My Sweet Prints here.

If you haven't met Leanne before you have to take a look at her blog. Leanne has a business called Sweet Style. She makes the most beautiful dessert tables for parties, think Amy Atlas etc and she shares photos from the events as well as life with three adorable little girls. So thank you Leanne! William and I are looking forward to the next play date :)

And the next thank you is to Letitia from The White Shed.
I must be slow off the mark or something but I only discovered Letitia's blog and STUNNING shop recently. Anyway Letitia ordered one of my new Wedding Scroll prints last week for her 7yr Wedding Anniversary which was on Monday - congrats again Letitia!

You can see pics of her wedding as well as the Wedding Scroll I made her on the post here.

So thank you lovely ladies you both made my day!

And thanks to everyone for stopping by my Facebook page - and for reading and commenting on my little blog :)

Have a great day,

Thank you!

This morning I just wanted to catch up on a few 'Thank you's.

Firstly thanks to the lovely Simone from Honey and Fizz for asking me to take part in her 12 Questions post which she posted on yesterday. It was really fun so thanks Simone! Drop on over to Simone's blog if you haven't before... she has great taste and style and I always love reading her posts.

Next I want to thank Jane from Life on Planet Baby who has blogged about her My Sweet Prints purchases before but she is also my official 'Media Monitor' and always lets me know when she spots a My Sweet Prints feature out there in bloggy world. Thanks so much Jane!!!
If you haven't read 'Life on Planet Baby' before then please go take a look... Jane writes so openly and honestly about her life with three little children, her past, present and future and she has such a fantastic writing style. I've told her once and I'll tell her again I think she should write a book!

Anyway Jane found the next 'thank you', she emailed me to let me know that my Bedtime Bus Roll Poster had been featured on the influential design blog 'Swiss Miss' and wow what a great blog. I was thrilled to be featured so thank you Swiss Miss!

Next is Sharyne from The View from my Valley. Sharyne purchased one of my Wedding Prints for two of her friends who got married last weekend. Take a look at the post and her blog as she wrote the sweetest blog post all about receiving mail and her little Nth QLD town and here is the print... Sharyne tells me that both Roland and Rita cried when they received it, makes me SO happy!!! So thanks Sharyne.

Next is also a customer, Michelle from Ireland who purchased a Bedtime Bus Roll Poster last week and kindly blogged about it on her blog Molly Moo.
Her blog has great stuff for kids so 'ahhh to be sure, to be sure' to check it out! (hehehe, sorry Michelle, had to do an Irish joke).

And last but not least is YOU! Thank you for reading my little blog and I'm so sorry I've not been as good a blog friend lately as I would like to be. But My Sweet Prints has been very busy lately and so getting the time to comment on everyone's blogs has been hard. Please know that even if I'm not commenting I am reading. (Usually on my iPhone as I'm waiting in a supermarket check out or sitting at the park while Will plays etc). So thank you and please bear with me (is it bear or bare?) I think life is going to be pretty busy till Christmas so I hope to get back to normality in the new year.

Lots of hugs to everyone,

Thank you

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been a bit AWOL this last week...

Thank you so much for your kind words re my birthday pictures and thank you SO much for your lovely comments, emails etc with sympathies re my Granny.

The funeral is tomorrow, so that will probably be quite a hard day, and I'm doing a reading in the service so I'm just praying that I can keep it together (my Dad is my stand-in if I can't get through it).

So here is a lovely bunch of flowers from me to you to say 'Thanks'.

And on other news, in the past week I've seen my little angel William display every tendency of 'the terrible twos'! EK! This morning in particular, as we've had about 20 episodes of crying/demanding/tantrum/stomping on toys/throwing food. As Will would say 'Uhhh Ohhhhhh'!

Here are pics from my efforts to distract him this morning with the photobooth ap on my laptop which always works a treat...

That little face would never do anything wrong would it...?
(NB please ignore my face with my lack of makeup/un-brushed bed hair/clip stuck in my fringe look).

So anyway, I just wanted to check in and say HI and THANKS and sorry I've not been around much this last month blog visiting but I think you all understand.

Wishing you a lovely day,

Thank you Ohdeedoh!

Wow, thank you so much Ohdeedoh.com for featuring my 'A World to Discover' customised World Map! I am very flattered and very excited.

Apartment Therapy's Ohdeedoh featured my Bedtime Bus Roll Poster back last year and the response was incredible so I never thought I'd be lucky enough to see my work on their amazing site for a second time around! Click here to see the feature.

It's made my day (week and possibly month for that matter)!

Wishing you all a happy, exciting day too,

Thanks

I just wanted to take the time to firstly say 'Thank You' for reading my blog, commenting, emailing, just visiting from time to time, or reading every day.

It means a lot to me and I enjoy reading all your comments - so if you do read this little blog of mine but haven't commented before can I encourage you to even just say 'Hi' :)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I also wanted to say a HUGE thank you to my Mum and Dad who kindly offered to have William for a sleep over yesterday to give us a bit of a break from our precious, gorgeous, delightful... but EXHAUSTING little bundle of love. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mum and Dad (and Kate, yes I didn't forget you lil'sis) I'm feeling much more human this morning and less zombie-like :)

So yes, just wanting to share the love this morning!

Thanks again,

White with a hint of pink

Love it! Check out these images of predominately white with a hint of pink, so beautiful!

Love the mirror too

Desk is gorgeous but wouldn't want to have to keep it clean - think baby hand prints :)

LOVE these pillows

Looks like a kitchen but I think it's a bathroom, it's the vanity against the window and mirror on the side which makes it confusing.

Had a great day out for Mum's birthday, thank you for your lovely comments!!! Here is my happy bubba in his high chair at lunch.

I also wanted to say a big thank you for some great blog mentions I've had this week:
Tiny and Little
MadebyGirl
FineThings&BigDreams
Lola Was Her Name

Check out these fabulous blogs if you haven't already. Thanks Lovely Ladies!!!! xxx

Take care,

Thank you!

I just wanted to say a big Thank You to the very sweet Donna at Rosebud and Bluebells for posting about her purchase of a Bedtime Bus Roll Poster for her little boy Oliver.

Doesn't it look great in Oliver's room with the bunting above the frame and his cartoon character toys on top of the tall boy.

Thanks again Donna, I just love seeing my prints all framed and hanging in their new home!

Check out Donna's blog, full of amazing home decorating inspiration - she is so good at revamping old furniture!!!

Have a great day everyone,

P.S. check out the awesome giveaway over at Louise's blog 'Illume Design' - a $40 store credit to her gorgeous store is too good to pass up!

More thank you's and a DIY before and after!

Firstly I wanted to say thanks to two bloggers who have featured my work today.

The first one is the lovely Belinda from Nest Design Studio. Belinda is an Interior Designer, specialising in Nurseries & Children's rooms. And a mum to a gorgeous baby boy Hugh, for whom I had the pleasure of making one of my 'Made with Love' prints.

Belinda is truly a gifted Interior Designer, just take a look at Hugh's nursery, it is stunning! And with her interior design business you could get a nursery or child's room just as spectacular as her business specialises in email & phone consultations for baby & children's rooms! It's so simple....all you do is contact her and she sends out a form to fill in about things you would like to see in the room and then she will provide you with a concept board and list for on-line shopping, you don't need to even move from your chair! Now that's a great idea!

So please pop by and say Hello!

The other blogger I wanted to say thanks to is Mel Bombardiere she is a new mum and featured my Bedtime Bus Roll poster today. Thanks Mel!

I also wanted to show you a little DIY project I did a few weeks back...
We were given this wooden Balinese bird cage as an engagement present, so that would have been nearly 7 years ago now, which was probably the height of the 'Bali' decor theme era (if there was such a thing).

I've had the bird cage in the garage since we moved to this house and have been planning on painting it white for soooo long. I was inspired by India Hick's birdcage in her Bahamas home, seen here...

Image via here

So anyway, my bird cage is no where near as extravagant as India's but I like the change in colour (my old 'paint it white' motto) and I'm thinking of hanging it up in our deck. What do you think?

Before

after
Anyway, I better get inside, I'm sitting out here at the table you can see above getting eaten by mozzies. Ah!

Have a lovely day,

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Tina of Rubies Place for writing the nicest blog post about the print I made for her daughter Olivia yesterday. Tina is just the nicest blogger around and her craft and home decorating projects are so inspiring. I really want to learn to crochet now and her embroidery is stunning too.

So please go check out her blog if you haven't already and you will become an instant fan like me.

Have a great day,

P.S. I will try and post pic of my little home office space which I am in the process of prettying up!

100% cute

LinkLook at what I found on etsy today. These super adorable hats, wraps and blankets by etsy seller Charbridge Knits.

Their knits are perfect for newborn 'Anne Geddes style' photo shoots. And with most of them priced around the USD$22 mark I think it would make an original gift for new parents.

A big thanks to Joanna at My Mom Shops the terrific blog mention today about my Bedtime Bus Roll Poster. She has a great blog which always makes me very jealous that I don't live in the US to shop at all the cool stores she finds.

Have a lovely Friday everyone,

P.s. I borrowed some DVDs from the library the other day and I've been watching 'Are you being served?'. It's soooooo funny! Very un-PC but very funny.

FOR SALE - 'Hill House' in Avalon

Mmmmm... here is a lovely house in Avalon (Sydney's Norther Beaches) which I found today. It's called 'Hill House' and isn't it so sweet?

I love the style, the colour of the exterior, the white, the kitchen, the doors and windows, the cozy fireplace etc etc.

Images via here

It's only 3 bedrooms though, so I'll have to pass this one up ;-)

I also wanted to say a BIG THANKS to my lovely blogging friend Engracia of LynwoodMusings
for including my Bedtime Bus Roll Poster in her fabulous line-up of typographic finds. Check out her blog if you haven't already because it has become one of my daily must-reads!

Thanks Meg

I just wanted to say a big thanks to Meg Duerksen the author of the wonderful blog 'Whatever' for including the Custom Birth Print I made for her in her post today.

The print was a gift for gorgeous baby Levi! Take a look at the beautiful photos she took for the family. And visit her blog for more adorable pics: http://megduerksen.typepad.com/whatever/2010/01/levi.html
You can see why Meg's blog was the winner of the Apartment Therapy 2009 Homies award in the Kids at Home category.

Thanks again Meg,

Craft Project: Bunting

I made bunting for William's room with the left over Alexander Henry 'Juicy Jungle' fabric and some navy and white striped fabric I had left over from sewing Will's nursery decor.

The photos aren't great sorry but you get the picture. I wanted something to jazz up that wall and the bunting sits nicely above the sliding door (we have sliding doors to the bedrooms which I guess the previous owners put in as a space saver).

To make the bunting I just cut the fabric into triangles of the same size and hand stitched them onto thin white ribbon, spaced about 4cm apart.

I think it looks pretty cute and looks nice sitting above Will's Eye Chart print.

There will be more pictures of his nursery to come soon, so you can see how the fabric ties into his curtains, cushions, blanket and wall art.

I also wanted to say a big thanks to Babyology for posting about My Sweet Prints on their fantastic website today. Babyology was a finalist in the 2009 Homies awards in the Kids at Home category so it was very exciting to wake up and see their lovely post!

Have a wonderful Sunday,
