Leaving on a jet plane...

Good morning and happy Friday!

Just a little post to say 'Ta ta for now' as this will be my last post for a week or so as we are leaving on a jet plane this weekend- YAY!!!

Bags are half packed, Will's got his brand new passport ready to be stamped, the house is being taken care of and notices are up on my shops about the delay in dispatch over our holiday break.

So just wishing you a great weekend and week ahead and I'll look forward catching up with you all when we get back!

Take care,

Father's Day Gift Guide

I thought I'd have a bit of fun this morning and put together a Father's Day Gift Guide mock magazine.

Father's day is come up in Australia on the 5th September so I've been thinking I better get a wriggle on with getting presents for Glen and my Dad. So here is a little gift guide of things I've found which you might find useful... I think I must be missing my days working on magazines as I had so much fun putting this together (although very quickly).

Have a great day everyone,

My madeit Interview

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a great weekend!

I am very chuffed to have been featured on the madeit.com.au 'Designer Spotlight' in an interview which has just gone up on the web today and you can read here.

I have always loved reading the Spotlight interviews and finding out about other craftspeople and what makes them tick so I hope that my interview will also be enjoyed by others - especially my confession to being a 'Neighbours' fan!

So thank you Bec for featuring me and 'My Sweet Prints' - what a great opportunity!

Wishing you all a lovely Monday,

Collette Dinnigan's House for Sale

Could this be the most gorgeous home in Paddington, NSW?

I think it is, and you wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's Collette Dinnigan's home for sale. Check it out, I'm in luuuuuuuuuurve!

Double fronted 1880s sandstone home

Heated swimming pool, period details and French doors

Recycled blackbutt floors

I LOVE this kitchen, and the way the french doors open out to the pool

Check it out on domain.com.au here

What do you think? Do you love it too? It's so french, so simple and white and elegant - it's everything I love in a house!

Ah, keep dreaming Janette...

Have a lovely day everyone,

And now we have...

...the Morning Bus Roll Poster!

Do you remember this post? Where I showed you the morning routine bus roll I made for a customer Caroline? She asked for her family's morning routine so that on the days that her husband has to get their girls ready, they had something to follow.

So it's taken me a while to design it (trying to decide on the routine) but here it is. And of course if your morning routine varies to the one shown I can customise it especially for you!

I hope this will be a popular print like the Bedtime Bus Roll poster and that it can help families in their busy morning rush.

You can find it on etsy here
And madeit here

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments re my 200th post and your well wishes for my little assistant. Good news is that I only had to get up for him once last night and besides stirring a hand full of times he slept very well! I think he is now on the road to recovery - I'm soooo relieved!!!

Have a lovely day everyone,

Happy 200th Blog Post

Yep, this is my 200th blog post! I can't believe it and it's been just a few days over 6mths since I started this little blog. Wow time has flown but it also feels like much longer than 6mths that I've known all of you lovely readers and followers.

And when I think of all the ups and downs we've all shared with each other in blog world and all the things that have taken place over the last 200 posts it's pretty amazing.

So happy 200th to my little blog and thank you for actually taking the time to read my ramblings :)

Is this not the funniest photo ever? I wish I could get Minky into a striped knit top and sitting at the table!

This cake is a bit more my style, how yummy is that frosting, wow! But if I could have all you lovely ladies over for a little Happy 200th celebration I would love to put on something like this....

We could forget any diets and self control for just one day and eat to our hearts content.

So thanks again for supporting me and my blog - it means the world to me and has given me the interaction that I miss from working at home so THANKS!!!

I'm hoping to get some of this today....
as it's been yet another sleepless night. I took Will to the Doctor yesterday and the poor little darling has a chest infection! The previous night he kept running a fever and was just absolutely miserable and coughing like crazy. Although last night was no better, he is now on Antibiotics so at least I know he should be at the tail end of it now.

Anyway, wishing you a fantastic Wednesday everyone,

Citrus Love

I feel like a hit of citrusy yellow today to brighten up my morning and these interiors hit the mark.

I'm planning on adding a bit of yellow to our lounge room with some of this...

I think it will make a nice bright change to get us into the spring mood.

Which colour gets you into a spring frame of mind? Only 14 days till spring - yay!

New Print - 'This little house'

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a great weekend!

Over the weekend I uploaded this new print onto my shops. It's called 'This little house'.

'This little house on [your street]... holds lots of love'. Customise this gorgeous little print with your street name and your choice of colour (see colour chart image). A sentimental piece for your home or a fantastic housewarming gift!

I've made 10 different colour options, but as with all my prints I can customise it your choice of colour too...

LinkYou can find it on my etsy shop here
And my madeit shop here

Sorry, its not a very enthusiastic blog post today, I'm still half asleep as Will kept us up a lot last night. My assistant wasn't 'assisting things' very much last night naughty bubba :(

I'd love to know your thoughts on this new print!

Yo doe ley heee hooooo.....

Did you know that if I knew the Swiss anthem I would sing it?
I love Switzerland!
It's such a beautiful country.
Everything seems clean and fresh there...
G and I meet when working at a Swiss investment bank...
They make great cars...
And check out their homes...

I wouldn't mind a view like that.

Heidi House

Look at the detailing.... beautiful!

I love grey and white houses and this one is just soooo gorgeous.

And here is my Heidi inspired hair-do just for this blog post :)

And here we are in Switzerland a few years ago...

Do you love all things Swiss too???

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on my last post, I'm feeling pretty much all better now thank you.

Have a lovely Friday evening,

P.S. I forgot to mention Swiss Chocolate!

My Sweet Prints in the SMH

Great news today as my new 'Home Sweet Home' print was featured in the style pages of the Sydney Morning Herald!!! I'm VERY excited!

Here is a close up...

And here is my assistant proudly showing off the front cover of the paper.
(Doesn't he look so grown up in this pic? You would think he was 3yrs old not 15mths!)

So if you get the SMH, it's page 8 of the style pages and it's basically on the back page of the paper when you open it out!!!

On other great news my 'Apple of our eye' print was featured in the Madeit.com.au newsletter along with other apple inspired items. Click here to view!

Have a great day everyone,

& her proud assistant xox

P.S. sorry for the lack of blog visiting this week, I'm a bit under the weather with a virus and trying to take it easy :(
