New My Sweet Prints Designs

Janette has been a very busy designer of late and has created several new designs that are now available in the store! Let's take a closer look:

The Alphabet Custom Name Print is a fresh addition to our collection of custom designs. It is bright and clean and features your child's name and birth date is a bold pink or blue which contrasts against a mid grey repeating alphabet.

Hello Baby is a sweet, simple custom design to mark the welcoming of your baby. Available in a boy or girl colour way, the design has a handwritten feel to it and features your child's name and birth date in a sweet cursive font.

Get Your Geek on is for all the geeks at heart! It's minimal design features a silhouette of retro glasses and a bright yellow speech bubble with the words "Get Your Geek On" in a handwritten font. This would be a great Father's Day gift or would look great hung alongside any of the other similar designs in a study or studio.

Rock On is a fun design featuring the silhouette of a Charles and Ray Eames Eiffel Shell Rocking Chair with a bright yellow speech bubble with the words "Rock On" inside. New Print - Frankly My Dear

Thank you everyone for your lovely congrats comments yesterday re our new house. I'm still over the moon and mentally decorating in any available daydreaming moment :)

Anyway I thought I'd show you a new print which I just launched yesterday. 

I was commissioned to design it and just love it because it's one of my all time favourite movies.

I wanted to give it a vintage poster/ad type of feel and I really enjoyed coming up with the design. I've made a black version and a white version.

 

And don't you find yourself saying it to yourself sometimes eg... when you hear 'Mummy I don't want this for dinner' etc :)

New Print

 

A week or two ago I gave a sneak peek of a new print, I designed one that now hangs in our entrance way. But I've how put them up on my www.MySweetPrints.com.au shop.

Like my Home Sweet Home print, I was inspired by folk art/paper cut art when designing this print.

 There are three lines and you can customise the wording to read whatever you like...

It could be a family print 'The Baker Family'

A new born/child's print 'Jessica 14.06.2011'

Two love birds print 'Janette loves Glen'

or your favourite short saying like 'Love Lives Here' or 'Live Laugh Love'

...basically anything that will fit within the three lines.

  

Here are some more colour options but I'm happy to make custom colours too.

I've just started my Christmas shopping yesterday, have you??

A new print

I've had this print on the back-burner for a while, it would simmer for a while in the back of my mind, then I'd get busy and forget about it. But I managed to finish it yesterday and put it up on my www.MySweetPrints.com.au shop last night.

It's funny how sometimes the simplest designs are the ones that keep you stumped. 

I guess because the design has to speak for itself when it's simpler. You have to make sure the tracking, kerning, leading, and over all balance works - there's a little graphic design tutorial for you if want to click the links :)

Boy version in primary colours - print measures 11 x 14"

Girl version - I love this colour combo :)

What do you think? I think it would really brighten up any child's room or playroom and with Will now learning his letters and numbers I think I'll have to add it to his room. He can count to 11 now! I'm so proud!

New Print: Chevron Love

Yay, I've got a new print to show you this morning!

It's called Chevron Love... because I've been wanting some chevron in my lounge room so I thought hmmmm lets make a print!


Chevron is the hottest pattern in interiors right now and teamed with a simple heart in a contrasting colour this print is a show stopper! The print measures a large 30cm x 30cm to fit perfectly within the matt of the Ikea Ribba 50 x 50 cm (20 1/2 x 20 1/2") frame.




I think it would look gorgeous in both a child's room and in a living area too. I think they would look HOT grouped together in different colours. (I really need more walls cause I would SO do that).


I've made 8 different colour options but like all my prints I'm happy to make it in your own colour choice.

New Print: Customised Wedding Scroll

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day yesterday. We went out for a lovely dinner which I might blog about later on.

But I thought I'd show you a print which I've just added to my shops. It's a design I've done for a couple of customers before and decided to add it to the range.

It's a wedding version of my Custom Birth Print design but in B&W...

This 8 x 10 inch black and white vintage bus scroll style wedding print will make the perfect wedding, anniversary gift or simply a reminder of your special day.

What do you think? I think I need more walls in my home hehehehee....

New Print - I heart

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? What did you get up to? Mine was great except for spending half the day in bed yesterday with a migraine. But I got to see my little sister who's just back from her Europe trip and I'll have to show you some of the goodies she brought back for me :)

Anyway, as you can probably tell I've been in one of those designing moods the last few weeks and I've got a new print which just went up on the shops last night. It's called 'I heart' and you can customise it with whatever YOU heart!

New Print - LOVE

I've got a new print which I've just gotten around to adding to my shops. It's called LOVE!!!!

New Print - 'Home Sweet Home'

I'm so excited to show you my latest print!
I really love this one and had so much fun designing it... it's called 'Home Sweet Home' and is a modern take on the old 'Home Sweet Home' cross stitch in a frame.

Blue Version

The design is inspired by papercut art and it has a modern folk art vibe - you can also see my love of the humble doily coming out in this print too can't you - remember this post?

Green Version

I have three colour versions on my shop (two bright, one neutral) but it can be customised to your choice of ANY colour to suit your home/room.

White on Taupe Version

I have designed it to fit perfectly into the within the matt of the Ikea Ribba 50 x 50 cm (20 1/2 x 20 1/2") frame.

I'm so excited about this print (as you can probably tell) so I'd love to get your feedback on it as always :)
