My exciting news

Yay, blogger seems to be back up and running as normal now and I didn't loose all your lovely comments - phew!

So now I can share my exciting news - exciting to us, maybe just entertaining for you....

WILLIAM TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS LAST NIGHT!!!

It was amazing. We were dancing in the kitchen to the radio while I was getting dinner ready. And he was being so cute with his bouncing/dancing I thought I'd get the video camera out to capture it, and managed to capture his first ever steps in the process!!!

You can watch the video for yourself and see (and hear my screeeetches and squeals and screams of delight - embarrassing).

I'm so proud of my gorgeous little bub and Glen got home about 10mins later and got to see some walking too!

I think Will doesn't realise that this is now meant to be his new form of transport as he's still crawling around - I think he thinks that walking is a new dance move :) But he'll be off and running soon I'm sure - ek!

Anyway, I'm still on a big high from it so I hope you have a lovely, happy day too!

  1. That is seriously the cutest video ever! I was almost as excited as you - hehe!

He is the speediest crawler ever - no wonder he prefers to get around that way! (My little William was exactly the same!).

Enjoy watching him practice this fun new skill. xx

  6. Yay!!!!! I totally share your excitement at Will's first steps and have a big smile on my face after watching that adorable video :) Will is SO cute with his little dance moves and what wonderful timing that you had the camera out. Glad Glen got to see Will too. Hopefully soon there'll be more steps and less mummy having to lift Will up. Have a wonderful day and give Will a big hug for me x

  7. Lovely - so much fun from now on!!! You'll start looking at your house in a whole different way - it all seems more dangerous for a little while until they get a bit more steady on their feet. So much better though too - less eating off the floor I found (or is that just my grotty boys??!!) Ax

  8. I watched your video this morning and then called my daughter Lily over and said "Look at this little bubba, walking for the very first time". "More Mummy", she said, "let's watch it again!". Truly infectious and sooooo cute - we sat here with huge smiles on our faces as we watched you little man, find his feet and surprise his mummy". How cute !!! Congratulations, Will !

Also, adorable - Grandma's comments on your blog! what beautiful, doting grandparents, little William must have.

What a wonderful milestone to have recorded.

  24. Too cute! I love the way Will dances (just like me & I can't even blame the vino). It's pretty exciting watching them learning to walk. Will has such an incredulous look on his face when he looks down & realises he isn't hanging on to anything & his legs are moving! illy the cuddly xo
