I started my Christmas present wrapping yesterday...
I am using red or gold paper with one of my many assortment of paper doilies attached and then tied with either red and white Kikki-K twine or red and white stripe ribbon.
Then I just attached a gift tag to the present, this one above is from my Another Donkey Design collection that the wonderful Kate made!
I love wrapping Christmas presents each year and I hope that the recipients enjoy the little touches on their presents.
Have you started your present wrapping yet? I now have to make sure that the presents are stowed away so that:
a) My 'assistant' doesn't get into them and rip the paper off
b) My other 'assistant' Minky doesn't try to make a bed out of them and lie all over them
I better go, I think William's just made his own 'present' for me - a stinky nappy - ah!
Have a great day everyone,
Loving the doilies on that wrapping Janette...it looks fab!
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous Janette! You've put in so much effort :) It is making my wrapping look very rough! Xx
ReplyDeleteThey look great!!! My kids have left them alone this year, it is too my cat who is causing havoc!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty. I forget how long wrapping takes - even though i spent many a December wrapping at Myer - but this year i went $2 shop paper, the shame, i know, zero talent but got the job done x our 4 children; x our 19 nieces & nephews; x our teachers . . . you can see why i lost the passion for delicious handmade wrapping a while ago. You keep up the pretty red & white work though, love Posie
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty! and a simple idea made so attractive.
ReplyDeleteI used to spray sprigs of rice paddy with gold and attach them with twine to presents. It looked very festive too. Love having new ideas.
They look great! I need to go today and actually BUY things to wrap!!! I'm so disorganised! Think I'm going to go with brown kraft paper and some coloured twine.

OMG Janette! Would you believe I am using doilies and red and white twine also? How about that, great minds think alike!! I've got silver and white wrapping though :)

The doilies look great Janette!! I'm going with a red and white theme this year too but I've only wrapped 2 so far - that's today's job :) Wrapping presents is my favourite part, I love making them look prettily presented. I don't think ours will go under the tree until Christmas Eve either with Gracie girl around :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thats hillarious! A true mummy joke!
ReplyDeleteI love your little touches! It makes the gift so muich more special! I love that too.
Best wishes!

I've been busily wrapping as well Janette! My theme this year is "Jinge Bells". I photocopied some sheet music (which I downloaded) to use as wrapping, tied my little boxes with lime green satin ribbon & topped with a little jingle of bells. I LOVE wrapping gifts! Your doilies are gorgeous. I hope your assistants are enjoying all the Christmas preparations as well! ;)Sharyne
ReplyDeleteOh they look so lovely, lucky recipents.
