Little Love

I'm trying to raise a little romantic.... So when Will and I saw these cute cookies at Coles this morning we bought three of them.

One for Will, one for his BFF girlfriend Sylvie and one for his other girlfriend LouLou.
The three of them do private swimming lessons together on a Monday afternoon at a house down the road.

We made a card for each girl using my heart hole punch.

Here are the words Will wanted to say in Sylvie's card.... 'Cheeeeese', 'Biscuits', 'Angelina', 'My be ballerina'.

The three of them ate their biscuits after swimming together.

And here are the two BFFs at Sylvie's Angelina Ballerina party at the weekend - so cute!

Happy Valentine's Day - heart garland craft

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

William and I have been busy this morning making heart garlands for home and for Will's little girlfriend down the road. (She turned two on Friday - he likes the older women)!

I used my red paper heart doilies and my red and white bakers twine...

To string together to make either a garland...

...or it can be hung like this too.

Will is in the middle of making a card, but he's not feeling very well today and we're off to the doctor soon so the card might have to wait.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day full of love and laughter!

Lots of sweet Valentine's Eye Charts

I enjoy seeing the sweet messages that people request for their Eye Charts. Lots of Valentine's Day messages at the moment....

Things like:
I love you ___ lots and lots
I love ___ Always and Forever
I love you to the moon and back

etc, etc... so lovely!

Yay, Friday afternoon! It's been a long hot week so I'm looking forward to the weekend, I think a day at the beach is in order. What are you getting up to this weekend?

Love,

P.S. I've got The Golden Girls on in the background, how young is Betty White, she's so funny and elements of the decor are quite 'now'!

Helping Haiti

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on yesterday's post, it means so much to me!!!

And I've got more good news today... as the end of the My Sweet Prints 'Helping Haiti' campaign (hehehe, campaign sounds more official doesn't it!) has drawn to a close as of midnight last night. So the total that is going to Médecins Sans Frontières Australia www.msf.org.au is (drum roll please...) $ 164.20 AUD! Thank you to everyone who purchased a print in the last month to help raise money for this much needed cause. Let's continue to keep the people of Haiti in our thoughts and prayers as they try to recover from this terrible disaster.

So I said last week that I'd share about my surprise trip out on the weekend for Valentine's day! Well he took me to Wiseman's Ferry which is a little old town just outside of Sydney and we had a delicious lunch at a restaurant overlooking the golf course down there. I had the Salmon and it was soooo yummy! It was really nice to get out just the two of us to somewhere that we wouldn't usually go. On the way home we stopped at a nursery in Dural for coffee and I had the biggest slice of Lemon Meringue Pie you've ever seen! (I wish I'd got a photo of it so you could see just how high the fluffy meringue was).

Here is a picture of the beautiful flowers he got me which I put in my Grandma's vase. And the photo you can (sort of) see is of Will at about 4days old on hubby's hand - so precious!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks again my wonderful blog friends!

Oooo La La - Valentines Day is almost upon us!

I just received an email from hubby at work which said the following:
Dear Janette Baker

You are cordially invited to enjoy a day free of dependants. Please be available to depart the city for an out of suburbia experience – your transport will be departing at approx. 11.15 AM this Saturday morning. The weather forecast is for a sunny day approx. 27 degrees so a light frock is recommended with adequate sun protection. There is no need to pack any ‘pad kos’ ; food and beverage will be provided,

Love from hubby
Hmmmm... I'm excited!!! I wonder what he's got in store!
