Here are a few snaps from our Christmas Day.
First up my bubba next to the Christmas Morning presents...
The three of us were quite spoilt but no body as much as Will who got so many presents I've staggered their opening, there is even one left to open just so he wouldn't go too crazy with all the new toys (see he has his Santa shorts on?).
I had a lot of fun decorating the table for our Christmas family lunch. We had two tables put together with my bauble laden candlier as the centre piece.
I went for a subtle theme of neutrals like gold, silver white and beige.
Pretty white daisies on the table added some extra prettiness.
I made the napkin 'rings' from air dry clay and my Christmas cookie cutters with 'JOY' stamped into them. They held the napkins really well!
It was the perfect weather for eating outside, not too hot and not too cold and the flies weren't out in force which was good!
Here we all are sans me (photographer) and Will and Michael who were having their day sleeps.
The food was delish!!!! I did a roast chicken with my homemade stuffing and bought some yummy prawns and made a shallot vinaigrette to go with them. Mum brought the Turkey, she made the pudding which was yuuuuummmm and Susy (my sister in law) made a beautiful ham with the most delicious gingery gravy. We also had about 5 salads and rum balls, cherries, chocolates and cake so we were all well and truly stuffed by the end of the day!
Here you can see the chaos of the present opening - the kids just loved it!
And they all had fun playing in the backyard, rumbling, backyard cricket, the treasure hunt I put on every year for the kids and the two girls next door and we also did a secret Santa which is always fun.
Here is my bub with his new lawn mower - a big hit!

Have a lovely evening,
Will looks so cute in his Christmas shorts! I love the present opening shot, love the chaos :) Your table looked gorgeous Janette, especially love the baubles on the chandelier and your napkin holders xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Will finally has his own lawn mower! Does this mean no more regular visits to the store?!?
ReplyDeleteYour day looks beautifuland love the napkin holders. Air dry clay you say.... hmmm.... may have to look into that one!
It looks so different seeing Christmas in warm weather. Looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight for me at Christmas is just being with my family. I love seeing their reactions to the gifts that I picked out for them. Such a happy time and great memories.
It all looks so lovely Janette. Will must have been so excited, just like my 3 year old neice who couldn't open or hand over gifts quick enough! She had so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI must say, your table looked wonderful :)
Xx
It looks beautiful Janette! Your little man is such a cutie x
ReplyDeleteJanette, your Christmas Day looks just perfect! Love Will's Santa shorts, he is just the cutest! I LOVE your table setting and those napkin rings are divine! I made some Christmas ornaments out of air dry clay and used one of my Nan's vintage buttons to stamp an imprint in the centre, my family really liked them. I never thought to use them as napkin rings!! Your lunch sounds so delicious! My fave photo is the present opening, it just screams FUN!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Christmas day sweet girl. Happy Sunday to you, Glen and Will ~ Txx
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! Hugh got a lawn mower as well (and he loves it!)
