Masterchef

On Saturday evening my resident masterchef cooked up a lovely dinner from our latest cook book purchase, Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals.

We'd seen the 30 min meals show on TV and when Glen saw this recipe for Piri Piri Chicken he wanted to get the book. Wellllllll.... I hopped online and bought the book right away, any chance of not having to cook myself and I take it :)

So here he is at work.
It was a great way to make use of our vegie garden as the Lemon Thyme, Parsley, Coriander, Chillies etc were all home grown.

Here it is ready to go into the oven.

And dished up with the sweet potato and feta mash - YUUUM!

You can get the recipe here, it's really delish! And then we watched 'The Blind Side' on DVD, it was a really good movie.

How was your weekend? What did you get up to?

Have a great Monday,

  3. How great to have your own masterchef in the kitchen Jeanette. Certainly looks great. I have to say Brunnel is a big Jamie Oliver fan too, so perhaps this book would be good for his birthday next week!

  6. Oh that looks fantastic!! We did Jamie's duck, delicious!! I have been trying to buy the 30 Minute Cookbook, it's no where to be found, so i might go on line too, instead of dragging 4 hot & bothered children into every book store in Canberra on school holidays. In the mean time i've bought 4 other cook books . . . ooppss. Love Posie

  16. I read this post yesterday and forgot to comment. My brain went on leave I think.. I just love Jamie's books. I bought the 30 minute one for my husband too. He cooks a lot of things from Jamie's America. It has the best burger I've ever had and a Chinese dish called Spicy Dan Dan Noodles - heavenly. Your dish looks so yummy, I love Piri Piri. Rachaelxx

  17. Aren't you a lucky duck! How nice to have dinner cooked for you. Lyn is not much of a cook at all, but then he is super good at other things around the house so I won't complain too much! x
