Yesterday was the My Sweet Prints Christmas Party!
Hehehehe, and no this isn't a photo of the event :) I thought I'd just shock you!
It was a very civilised affair. I took my Mum out for lunch to a wonderful lakeside Italian restaurant. My 'assistant' was minded by my Dad while he had his midday sleep so that Mum and I could zoot out while we had the chance.
You see I kept feeling very ripped off not having a Christmas Party to go to so I decided to have my own and use it as an opportunity to take my Mum out, as a small way of thanking her for all the help and support she has given me over 2010. Whether it be minding Will so I could get all my orders out or sticking the stickers on the back of my orders and just getting excited about my business with me and reading my blog every day etc etc etc... So thanks again Mum, you are the best!!!

That sounds like a great idea Janette. Glad you had a nice day out with your Mum. ;-)
ReplyDeletei feel the same!
ReplyDeletea) my full time job is a 2 person office & my boss is the grinch of xmas = no xmas party!
b) my business is just me!...maybe next year we should go out together!
Thanks again clever daughter!
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely Christmas party - great company, great food and great view!
xx Mum
Merry Xmas Janette & 'Janette's Mum'. Glad you had a christmas party as it's important to reward yourself, and people often forget that. Good for you, and congratulations on such a successful year, and wishing you every success in 2011. Sonia
ReplyDeleteHa! You funny girl! Good for you, Janette's Mum. What a trooper to help your clever daughter out like that.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Janette, I relate - this is my third year without all the work Christmas celebrations. Anyway, back to PB! J x
How lovely for you and your Mum, to get to go and celebrate all you have achieved this year Janette! Love that pic...are you sure that is not what you got up to ;) Huge hugs ~ Txx
ReplyDeleteI too was missing the work Christmas party so for the last couple of years the other SAHM's I hang out with throughout the year all went out for our 'office party' at a favourite low key restaurant. No Kids! I'm glad you celebrated the end of another successful year with your Mum!
ReplyDeletex Briohny.
Seems like a fine way to enjoy your Christmas party Janette! I know, mums are pretty fabulous, aren't they? Maybe one year we should organise a national bloggers' end-of-year party - how good would that be? Maybe for 2011 - what do you think? K xx
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Janette!
ReplyDeleteI do miss the 'office party' too! I've got 2 girlfriends who have set up their own business recently after having their babies (http://myspaguide.com.au/) so we're going to have a joint Christmas party next week and go out for some food and cocktails! Any excuse really!

Great idea Janette! What would we do without our mums? Your business has really been "everywhere" this year. You should be very proud!xx
ReplyDeleteGood idea! You deserve to celebrate. My Sweet Prints is a star :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, we have our office party tonight, hope it doesn't end up like the photo above (or maybe I do).
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - so glad you treated yourself and your Mum (who sounds like the loveliest lady by the way) to a Christmas party - you so deserve it after all the hard work and much time you've put into growing your business this year! x
