Minky Update

I visited Minky at the vet this afternoon and my poor little baby, he was all skittish and shaking and was freaked out till he realised it was me then he started purrring.

Here he is with the vet man with his shaved body. I'm so glad they left the fur on his face, feet and tail. So it doesn't look quite as bad as I thought it would.

Here he is attempting to walk, he still can't walk very well, his back legs kept giving way. They said that he isn't getting any worse but they still haven't said if there are any big problems from the tick poison or not.

He is staying there overnight and he might have to stay a second night but there is a small chance he could come home tomorrow.

Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts, it's been a full-on day with worry.

Have a nice evening,

P.S. Minky is a Ragdoll breed which is like a cross of Persian, Burmese, Tabby and something else. They are called 'ragdolls' because they flop in your arms when you cuddle them and they are often used in pet therapy etc. Ragdolls look just like Burmans (Sonia asked in the last post if he was a Burman) but the Burmans have a nose marking which Ragdolls don't.

  2. Hi Janette, I hope your kitty is well by the morning. Ticks are bad news... We get them quite a bit here. I had a huge one bite me just before I went away and I still have the scar... ;-)
