I designed and made a little print for my kitchen wall the other day, here it is!
It's called 'Cutlery' and to make it I drew a knife, fork and spoon put the corresponding titles underneath and put a hessian looking background behind the illustrations. It suits the light brown branch and the brown in my kitchen blind etc.
Glen loves it and I think it's quite special too. Advice please, should I list it on my shops or just keep it for me?
And for this little man... who is yet to learn the meaning of cutlery and prefers not to use them :)
Have a great day everyone,
It's really nice Janette - I like the idea of some art for diferent rooms. I always wonder about making art for oneself and for selling as when I made my Paris pendant I used to wear it a lot. Now that I sell it, I don't wear it at all! I have other pieces that people have suggested I sell, but really I think I'd like tokeep it unique for me. Soooo, I am not help to you whatsoever!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think keep it, but make more for your store :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like it!

ReplyDeleteJust fabulous, sweet Janette, as per usual. How about a limited edition run in your shops to keep it a bit more unique? And as for cutlery for littlies, hands often work just fine here on Planet Baby! J x
ReplyDeleteCould I add my two cents worth and say "yes please put it in your shop"!!! Its gorgeous. I Would love to see you do some kitchen inspired prints!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth a listing Janette. You are very talented! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGosh, Will is looking so grown up! They change so quickly at that age.. I love the print, particularly the colour. I think it would be very popular if you listed it.. Rachaelxx
ReplyDeleteI really, really like it Janette - but then I like all of your gorgeous prints! This is so simple and stylish, I know it would do well in your shop. Maybe you could keep it to yourself for a while, and then open it up to everyone else. Maybe that's a way to have the best of both worlds? Either way, love it! K xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE, love, love it:) I think a special edition run in your gorgeous Etsy store....so I can buy one ;) Cheeky I know, but it is a fabulous print! As for Will using his gorgeous little fingers....fingers are the Rubie girls' favourite utensils ;) Hope you are having a wonderful week! Expect an email from me, I promise, as soon as I submit my assignment ~ xx
ReplyDeleteWow yes. Put it in your store... And maybe send a convo to LuckyBluebirdArt too. Because clearly you and she are design twins, separated at birth. You guys would be best friends.
