I loved my 30th..it was the best birthday I ever celebrated. ( this is going back 7 years now...lol) My 30th was a Moulin Rouge/ Chicago theme...because I was crazy about that era at that time..everyone turned up in character ..and it was the best..so much fun!

I recently helped design an outdoor wedding setting..and I can tell you that paper lanterns work a treat..they just add such a great party vibe and lots of colour and are fairly cheap. I also made a ridiculous amount of those paper pom poms..which looked fab..but were a pain to unravel once cut. I would say..keep it simple...and co ordinate your tablewear...plates..serviettes..cutlery etc ..and candles...create a wonderful atmosphere once you hit dark...and of course..music..this is a must...it sets the mood! Hope all or any of these tips help honey...Im sure its going to be a blast xoAnna Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15849163903759164196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4615537851172205300.post-60680860050007276772010-08-10T21:53:23.444+10:002010-08-10T21:53:23.444+10:00oh i love your inspiration board! the colours are ...oh i love your inspiration board! the colours are glamourous! Enlist a couple of creative friend/ family members to help you out - after all, its YOUR birthday, why should you do all the work?? Oh, and get the killer dress first. I had a specific cocktail per each hour - for four hours - and these were presented on trays with a name card for the cocktail of the hour. I agree with Cat, write the guest list and get the invites out from there all will follow! It's well worth the extra cost. You'll knock off the party planning pretty quickly I'm sure.

WHAT FUN!Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11556843852780239036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4615537851172205300.post-38181844401253637562010-08-10T11:10:56.157+10:002010-08-10T11:10:56.157+10:00It is going to be a wonderful party Janette. Food was just nibblies, with a pie warmer in the kitchen to keep the hot food warm without having to remember to get things out of the oven. Only $25 to hire. Do you have any teenage relatives/neighbours that would be happy to act as waiters? You definately need to get a gorgeous party dress, you only turn 30 once! xxSimone - honeyandfizzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13262417401953983884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4615537851172205300.post-4578999813883925432010-08-10T09:33:45.833+10:002010-08-10T09:33:45.833+10:00that inspiration board is gorgeous!..i love the th...that inspiration board is gorgeous!..i love the theme and the colors it will look fantastic Janette and as for those legs order one for me too:) XXmellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01496808932639286228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4615537851172205300.post-7549122767339962132010-08-10T09:33:08.299+10:002010-08-10T09:33:08.299+10:00Er, thanks for the inspiration, Janette!
