Teacher gifts done and dusted

 

I finally finished Will's teacher gifts last night. Here they are ready to go. I made personalised Christmas tags with his Santa photo on them.

Two gingerbread Christmas tree cookies...

This one is my adaptation of the cute reindeer cake pops you might have seen on the web. My version is not as good but was easier. I stuck two marshmallows on cake pop sticks and then dipped them in chocolate. I stuck googly eyes, a red rhinestone nose and the pipe cleaner antlers.

And these are little mini puddings covered in chocolate. They look best with white chocolate on top to look like the cream on top of the pudding but I just couldn't be bothered to be honest :)

So I think that is all my Christmas shopping/gift making done! YAY!

I love making handmade gifts but these were the only handmade gifts I made this year unfort, it's just been so busy with My Sweet Prints and Christmas parties etc.

I will be shutting up shop this afternoon as I'm having a break over Christmas and New Year, back on the 9th January 2012. 

It will be so nice to have a little break from work, although I know I'll miss talking to my lovely customers and stockists as well.

Are you getting a break over Christmas too or working through?

23wk belly update

Seriously! I'm only just over half way through and look at the size of my belly!

AHHHH!!!! I think this is going to be one BIG bubby!

 Last night we looked at a photo of my belly bump with William when I was in labour at hospital and you know what...? I wasn't that much bigger than I am now!

My back is giving me grief and I'm not sleeping very well - how am I going to do another 3-4mths!

My parents and sister came over yesterday and asked if we're sure it's not twins :)

Baby B kicks lots at night which is lovely to lie there and feel. It's all very exciting, I just can't wait for Glen to have his Christmas break so he can help me with lifting Will etc.

Iscd Grad night

Hi!
Last night was the ISCD Graduation and Awards night.
I was a bit freaked out when I saw the stage, lectern, microphone and the few hundred people I would have to get up in front of to present my award but it went well and my part was over quickly.

I felt quite honoured to present along with the likes of Porters Paints, Dulux, Mokum Textiles, Di Lorenzo Tiles and many others.

It was a great night and I have to say that if you have ever considered studying Interior Styling, Colour, Graphic Design or Surface Design then ISCD is the place to go!

I took a few quick pics in the exhibition. It made me want to go study again!

ISCD Graduation Night tonight

Tonight I'm off to the ISCD Graduation Night and Exhibition to present an award to the Graphic Design students who are graduating tonight!

I was very honored to have been ask to judge the student's final Stationery Design brief.
And can I just say that their work was OUTSTANDING!

I'll see if I can take some pics of the exhibition and share them with you tomorrow.

Getting the teacher gifts ready...

You might have seen this idea online as I did...

I thought it was so cute that I decided to make my own version for Will's daycare teachers along with some other handmade tasty goodies I'm yet to make.

I showed my BFF today who is a teacher and asked 'Do you think teachers like handmade treats or just prefer the typical box of chocolates/coffee mug/soaps and lotions?' She said that handmade it much better and she always likes the handmade gifts the best even if they're less extravagant that store bought gifts. So that made me feel better :)

Oh Christmas Tree

We're really getting into Christmas! Our tree went up a week early and it was so fun to decorate with my little helper, who as you can see is in dress up faze at the moment!

Each year I like to decorate with a different colour theme. This yr is blue, silver and gold.

How is your decorating going?

My little monkey and I have been having fun with the photobooth app on my laptop. 

I love watching his expressions as he pulls funny faces for the screen.
